Pedaling For Peace

Bring your family and friends for a day of biking, food and fun. We will provide t-shirts, drinks and lunch, while our enthusiastic staff, board members and volunteers lead the rides.

Our sponsors will be at the start of the ride and out on the road with mechanical support, water bottles and other fun stuff.

Ride Options:

  • Family Fun Ride - Kick back on a family fun ride through Capitol Hill rich with Quaker lore. Begins at 10 am - approximately 3-5 miles - self guided.
  • 26 Mile Ride - Enjoy a 26-mile ride from the House to Bethesda and back on sheltered roads and the Capitol Crescent trail. Begins at 9:30 am.
  • 40 Mile Rides - Challenge yourself to a 40-mile moderately paced (10-12 mph average) or spirited (16+ mph average) road ride to Great Falls. These rides will begin at 9 am and include city streets.

Registration:

Early Registration:
$30/adult  $15/person for the family ride
Late Registration (after March 31, 2008):
$40/adult  $20/person for the family ride

Or print out a copy of the Registration Form (.pdf) for each rider, complete the waiver and consent form, send it with a check to us at 515 East Capitol St. SE, Washington, DC 20003. Please note that every rider must wear a helmet!

Make a Weekend Of It:

2-nights lodging, 2 breakfasts, dinner and ride registration for $125. Additional ride-touring packages are available, including a twilight "tour the monuments" ride. Bicycle rentals are available for $25, including helmets.
